I am a Residential Dissertation Fellow with the Hope & Optimism: Conceptual and Empirical Investigations project in the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University, and Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at Dalhousie University. I will be defending my dissertation at Dalhousie in March 2017.
My research is in moral psychology, normative ethics, and feminist philosophy. I am currently writing about the nature and value of hope, the relationship between hope and the emotion of moral anger, and the potential role of hope in collective struggles against oppression.
In addition to my research, I am a member of the Canadian Philosophical Association’s Equity Committee (2016-2017) and the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission’s Quality Assurance Monitoring Committee (2015-present).
